Vecoxan is an effective anticoccidial solution used in lambs and calves to treat and prevent infections caused by pathogenic Eimeria species, including E. crandallis, E. ovinoidalis, E. bovis, and E. zuernii. The active compound, diclazuril, belongs to the benzeneacetonitrile group and specifically disrupts the asexual and sexual stages of the parasite’s lifecycle. By interrupting this cycle, Vecoxan stops the excretion of infectious oocysts for up to 14 days, helping to control and reduce coccidiosis outbreaks in young stock.
